Breaking: NH Democratic Party says George Lambert is no longer in the NH House

June 11, 2013

Update 3: I should point out that this post is not in any way George Lambert’s idea. He had nothing to do with this. I am glad he did respond to a question about this issue. This post is also not in any way Harrell Kirstein’s idea. Unfortunately, the NH Democrat’s Communications Director refused to communicate on this issue.

Update 2: When asked for a comment, Rep. George Lambert said “I am so committed to bringing liberty and constitutional accountability to the state of New Hampshire, I will not be resigning as state rep in the foreseeable future for any reason that I could imagine.” More to come as this story continues to develop.

Update 1: I am still waiting for Rep. George Lambert’s official comment on this issue but I checked the New Hampshire General Court website and spoke with Rep. Lambert. Both the website and Rep. Lambert claim that he is still a current New Hampshire State Representative. More to come.

New Hampshire Democratic Party Communications Director Harrell Kirstein released a press release today with the headline “NHDP Statement on former State Rep. George Lambert Launching GOP Campaign for Governor.” The statement starts out with “Concord – New Hampshire Democratic Party Communications Director Harrell Kirstein released the following statement on former State Representative George Lambert exploring a campaign for Governor of New Hampshire.” This is breaking news.

What happened to George Lambert? Did he resign? Is he sick? Did he move out of the state like a couple Democratic State Reps. recently did? I’ve asked George Lambert for comment and will update the story when I learn more.

The first part of the statement follows.
