New Hampshire is driving New England taxes – down

July 19, 2012

We all know that you can see New Hampshire from Vermont; but, a recent article by Americans for Tax Reform points out that New England is a good example of how tax competition works.  More specifically, the article points out how New Hampshire drives down personal income and corporate income taxes in New  England.  With large corporate tax reforms passing in New Hampshire this year and the 2 main Republicans candidates for governor calling for huge cuts in corporate taxes, will taxes continue to fall throughout New England?  The article is actually pretty interesting and well sourced.  It even mentions the report by the Boston Federal Reserve Bank about how New Hampshire dominates economic policy in New England.

See for yourself.
