NH Rep. Cynthia Chase is at it again, says there is a secret organization to take down Free Staters
State Rep. Cynthia Chase isn’t known for her honesty. After all, she claimed the stated goal of the Free State Project is to take over New Hampshire (when the exact opposite would be more accurate). The actual goal of the FSP is found on its website, “The Free State Project is an effort to recruit 20,000 liberty-loving people to move to New Hampshire.” However, Rep. Chase is in favor of reducing freedom to discourage decent people from moving to New Hampshire, like she did just a few years ago.
In the opinion of this Democrat, free staters are the single biggest threat the state is facing today. There is, legally, nothing we can do to prevent them from moving here to take over the state, which is their openly stated goal. In this country you can move anywhere you choose and they have that same right. What we can do is to make the environment here so unwelcoming that some will choose not to come, and some may actually leave. One way is to pass measures that will restrict the “freedoms” that they think they will find here.
Representative Chase is at it again. She admitted that there is a secret project by Granite State Progress, which itself is funded by billionaire George Soros. She said the project is called OUR State Project and the members meet at the Granite State Progress office on the third Thursday of the month. She said the Project is non-partisan so presumably, as long as you care about the future of New Hampshire and are non-violent, all of you readers are welcome at the meetings at 4 Park Street, Suite 300 in Concord, NH. Rep. Chase, I’m sorry that your friends find rational moral philosophy and freedom intimidating. While I cannot claim to speak for the Free State Project, I believe this fact should be obvious, the Free State Project doesn’t get involved with politics at all. While there are people that happen to be candidates and also free staters at the same time, there are also candidates that happen to be gingers, British, atheist, lesbian, progressive, constitutionalists, tall, obese, short, under 30 years old, of Greek decent, left-handed and so on. There aren’t free state candidates just like there aren’t British candidates or Atheist candidates.
While Rep. Chase and Susan Bruce are involved in a Project to take down peaceful people living in New Hampshire, Susan Bruce assumes that the only well read newspaper in New Hampshire, the Union Leader, is involved in a conspiracy to help increase freedom. For some reason, a quote about people living in glass houses comes to mind right now.
New Hampshire Freedom 
FSP is far more ‘legit’ than anything Susan Bruce could be, say or do. She is an old washerwoman with nothing to do.
It’s a little disingenuous to claim that the FSP doesn’t have anything more to do with politics than it does with having red hair. While it is a loose association (and thank goodness for that — I don’t want my name lumped in with some of the stuff some early movers are individually choosing to do, much of which seems to confuse the concepts of libertarianism with anarchy), the whole idea was started by a political scientist as an idea about how to create a critical mass of libertarians-oriented activists in order to have a concentrated political base of candidates.
That was an idea a person had. That isn’t the FSP. There is a difference.
Actual libertarian philosophy and an anarchist stand are much the same. The non-initiation of force and no rulers are very much congruent. All rulers that I know do not get out the door without the threat of force. Certainly would collect much less “tax”.
Sounds like the FSP are already doing some good, otherwise they wouldn’t be pissing off the statists enough to make them do something to get rid of them. Good job FSP!! I hope to move there too. Hope you can keep people like her from ruining things.
If the FSP were doing good things they would have the support of the locals – and would not be “pissing them off”
The FSP only has one goal, try to get 20,000 people that support liberty and justice for everyone to sign a statement saying they will likely move to New Hampshire. In order to do that, the FSP recruits and puts on two events in New Hampshire. It puts on Liberty Forum and PorcFest. 100s of locals that support equality show up at both events. So clearly locals love that. You can also see the 1000s of locals that support the FSP so much, they have gone out of their way to become in state friends of the FSP on the FSP website. Heck, even a governor became an in state friend.
The FSP is all about the politics – and yes, they most certainly do want to take over NH. And we know full well that FSP uses the words “non-violent” and “peaceful people” to describe anti-government radicals. No one with actual common sense need apply.
The FSP is certainly not all about politics. In fact, it is strictly non-political as an organization. The organization doesn’t get involved in politics unless you mean the politics of electing people to the FSP board of directors.
The FSP certainly isn’t about taking over anything. It is about signing up 20,000 people that support freedom and justice for all signing up to move to New Hampshire at some point in their lives. That’s it. Obviously, 20,000 people that support freedom and justice for all wouldn’t even be able to take over NH if they tried. The whole notion is beyond silly.
There might be some people that signed the statement of intent that are anti-government. The are also plenty of people that signed it that used to or currently work for the government. This whole anti-government nonsense is a lie perpetuated by communists and socialists that are upset that freedom and justice for the poor and middle class is increasing in New Hampshire.
